Sacha Jorba-Wu, Violin

Sacha Jorba-Wu is a multicultural Canadian violinist who made his solo debut at age six at Olympic Plaza. He has since performed with seven orchestras, including the Elgar Orchestra, and made solo appearances with the Quebec, Sherbrooke, Newfoundland, Sinfonia, and Calgary Civic Symphonies, among others. In 2024, he debuted in Paris and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg during the Rising Stars Gala.
Sacha studies with Dr. Domago Ivanovic and Prof. James Keene, and is an APP/Senior Violinist at Mount Royal Conservatory and VAM. He is also the founder of Trio Magico.
A decorated competitor, Sacha has won top prizes at the Canadian Music Competition (2022–2023), Vancouver International Music Competition (2023), Edith Lando Competition, NY Music International Grand Prix (2024), and Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition (2025). In June 2024, he received the Maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin Grand Prize and was invited to perform with the Orchestre Métropolitain de Montréal in 2025.
Beyond music, Sacha is passionate about humanitarian causes, volunteering in schools, hospitals, senior centers, and communities to inspire others since the age of 5. In 2024, he helped raise $2 million for the Children’s Hospital at their Gala Concert. Helping raise funds totalling around $3 million for causes that speak to his heart.
